Sango Batake, literary meaning coral field, is a small artificial coral reef, created inland. In this small controlled sea, over 50,000 corals grow, covering the sea floor and wall. The water quality is kept stable and the temperature four or five degrees Celsius lower than that in the sea. In addition, the lack of predators to the coral helps them to flourish. We are growing the corals here and then transplanting them into the sea.
